The Psychologically Healthy Workplace

The Hawaii Psychological Association (HPA)

Retina Institute of Hawaii

2007 Award Winner -- Small Business Category

The Retina Instituite of Hawaii Awardees

To encourage staff education and involvement, all staff are invited to training lunches with medical companies. The more every staff member knows about any new technique, the better the team is, and the more the patients benefit.

Staff are encouraged to take any classes even remotely related to their work, including healthy cooking classes and martial arts - all at company expense and with time off from work. In fact, flexible schedules are the norm, allowing parents & athletes the ability to meet outside demands in their lives.

To give back to the community, the Institute purchased a 35-foot RV which will be part of their community outreach program called “Project Vision.”
