Aloha HPA colleagues,
Wellness Partners Mental Health is accepting referrals to our CARF-accredited Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for adults with mental health and co-occurring substance use needs.
Programs & access
PHP (in-person): Honolulu (Hawaiʻi Kai).
IOP (telehealth): Available statewide (patient must have a private space and reliable internet).
Format: Structured, evidence-based group programming, psychoeducation, skills practice (e.g., CBT/DBT-informed), relapse-prevention, safety planning, and functional recovery support.
Length of episode: Time-limited and goal-oriented; start dates discussed at referral.
Who benefits (typical indications)
Adults (18+) needing more structure than weekly outpatient therapy.
Step-down after inpatient, ED stabilization, repeated crises, or residential.
Significant functional impairment (work, school, family roles) related to depression, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, or co-occurring substance use.
Patients motivated for skills practice, group participation, and daily structure. We can also participate in court ordered care.
What to tell your patient
Expect a skills-forward, structured day with group work, workbook/skills practice, and weekly goal tracking.
Participation, attendance, and completion of outside-of-group practice are core expectations.
Discharge planning focuses on sustainable routines, coping skills, and clear next steps.

We’ll connect with the patient to review program details, confirm eligibility, and discuss the next available start date.
If timing is urgent, please call to flag the referral so we can prioritize the intake conversation.
Insurance & payment
HMSA HMO/PPO, HMAA, VA Care in the Community, TRICARE, and private pay.
We will pursue single-case agreements (SCAs) whenever appropriate.
