Hawaii's State Plan Amendment (SPA) No. 16-0004 for tele-health services [also called telehealth] has been implemented retroactive to January 1, 2017.
Providers who furnish tele-health services "to" a distant site should use place of service code "02" to signify tele-services, and modifier code "GT." See the attached DHS Memorandum dated May 2, 2017.
