American Savings Bank (ASB) has a full-time Life Balance wellness coordinator who works with a task force of 10 volunteer employees serving as ambassadors and advisors to promote physical, psychological and financial health for employees and their families. They also hired a full-time communications director for internal information coordination.
ASB developed "Managing and Coaching the ASB Way," with every manager and executive participating in a two-day program. They recently launched the Career Development Center, an online portal where employees can search and apply internal job opportunities, update and track their job history and skills, and sign up for classes offered through ASB University, the internal training and development department.
